Since receiving clearance to walk and bike a week ago, I’ve successfully readjusted into my daily routine. Although that may not sound exciting on the surface, it’s nothing short of awesome – I’m back to walking to work, riding my bike outside, driving, and doing everything except running.
Running is not far off – I start PT tomorrow, and will be going twice a week for the next 6-8 weeks; I’m on target to race Vineman Monte Rio – an olympic triathlon, at the end of the month.
After going for a test ride on the trainer, I successfully rode outside 3 times last week. I was a bit rusty on the first ride, but hit the ground riding over the weekend with a 52 mile ride through Nicasio Valley and Point Reyes.
Here are some of pictures from the ride – plenty more to come soon!
Congratulations. It has been a tough time. Glad to see you back on the bike 🙂
Thanks! I’m so happy to be back out there!
Too cool, man.
Thanks Jim! Taylor got a taste of Velo Culture at the Rapha store over the weekend!
