Taylor and I woke up to another much needed downpour this morning. Although Taylor is a bit under the weather and decided to make the most of our recovery week by taking a second rest day, I left for the gym bright and early (er, dark and stormy). Lucky for me, this early bird had plenty of worms to choose from: the gym was completely empty. It served as another reminder that the morning is the best time for “me time” – it’s my best opportunity to train and relax before the uncertainty of the workday sets in – rain or shine. Happy Friday everyone!

That empty gym looks so nice. Mine is so so crowded at 5:30pm, when I go. This picture may motivate me to try to go before work, although it would be helpful if it warmed up some first. It’s hard enough to get up that early, but even harder knowing I have to drive through the cold to the gym.
