Less than 24 hours after breaking the tape at the Healdsburg Half Marathon yesterday, Taylor and I are starting our weeks and assimilating back into everyday life. What happened yesterday was far from ordinary: we both broke our half marathon PRs on a very challenging course in weather that even this NYC ex-pat deemed down-jacket worthy. As I mentioned in my post on Friday, positive thinking has the ability to bring out your best when your mind or body are lagging behind. Both of us put that to the test and overcame difficult sets of circumstances on the way to breaking our PRs. Despite the inevitable serotonin crash today, we took full advantage of the post race celebration in Wine Country, and wanted to share a few shots ahead of our full race recaps over the next two days.
