This evening, Jesse and I are heading to Utah for The North Face Endurance Challenge Park City. Starting at nearly 6,000′ and gaining 3,400′, this is going to be a killer half marathon! We plan on running the race together and taking it easy, hoping to soak in the views of the Wasatch Range and explore the Park City area (particularly their low alcohol breweries).
We’re hoping to meet Dean Karnazes for the third or fourth time this weekend. Please disregard my sickly pallor; I had just finished 31 miles on the trail.
Leaving when San Francisco’s temperatures are nearly 90 degrees gives me severe FOMO, but next week’s forecast also looks promisingly warm. Hope you have a great weekend!
