golden gate triathlon club, Ironman 70.3, Ironman Lake Tahoe, Training, Triathlon, Wildflower Triathlon
It’s a lot easier to drag myself out of bed at 5:30am on a Friday knowing that I’ll have the pool to myself.
I’ve been exploring the possibility of joining an Ironman training group leading up to Ironman Lake Tahoe this year, and Golden Gate Triathlon Club is offering 33 and 24 week programs. Taylor and I are registered for both Wildflower and Vineman 70.3, and the coaches are using both of those races as milestones in the Tahoe training cycles. On top of that, the program includes a training weekend in Lake Tahoe – a chance that I don’t want to pass up considering that the course is only 3 hours away.
For now, I’ll make the most of unstructured training, gratuitous sour candy consumption, and sleeping in until 5:30. Happy Friday!
